Summer classes (held over six weeks in the evenings) in Ballet, Jazz, Pre-pointe, Creative Movement, Mommy & Me, and more provide emerging dancers the opportunity to stay on track with their progression to the next level. Enrollment in The Tallahassee Ballet School classes is limited. Registration is FREE and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Early enrollment is encouraged. The dress code is adhered to.
Enrollment based on age last school year.

This 45-minute class is perfect for mothers, dads, and other caregivers who want to exercise and bond with their little ones.

Mixed Level Masterclass Series
Dancers of all levels are invited to join us for a unique Masterclass Series! Instructors will rotate every two classes to introduce their style through classwork and a fun combo. Join us to build performance skills and experience in a fun and encouraging environment. Not able to attend all six weeks? No worries! This class will be drop-in-eligible (email classes@tallahasseeballet.org; 48-hour notice requested).
Masterclasses have a separate tuition and rate.

Kaitlyn Christensen Sacco

Kaitlyn Christensen Sacco has her BA in Dance from Slippery Rock University and her MFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Florida State University. She has performed with multiple dance artists/companies: Doug Varone and Dancers, Alex Ketley, Gerri Houlihan, River North Chicago Dance Co, Rodger Belman, Helanius Wilkins, Macarthur Dance Project, Ariel Rivka Dance, iKada Contemporary Dance Co, Ircamar Garcia & Dancers, and Camerata South.
She has had her choreography presented in NYC, at the American College Dance Festival, a Philadelphia Phillies Baseball Game, South Georgia Ballet, The Tallahassee Ballet, at multiple universities, and on PBS. She currently lives in Tallahassee with her husband, 2 sons and 2 dogs. She is a rotating Adjunct Faculty Member at Florida State University in the Dance Department, teaches locally in town, is a Zena Rommett Certified Floor Barre Teacher and the Founder/Director of Music in Motion Dance Company!


Mary Roberts, MFA, is a choreographer-director and jazz dance educator at the University of Alabama. Known for her work as a Choreographer and Show Supervisor for major cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Lines, as well as Iberostar Resorts and Fantastical Labs, as well as being part of producing immersive shows onboard Celebrity Cruise Lines' Celebrity Beyond. Her diverse experiences showcase her ability to create captivating performances across multiple platforms. Mary holds degrees from Oklahoma City University and Florida State University. As a jazz dance educator at the University of Alabama, Mary is bringing her choreography expertise to the University of Alabama’s Alabama Repertory Dance Theatre and the Alabama School of Fine Arts, highlighting her commitment to nurturing emerging talent in the educational sector. Mary’s work reflects not only her artistic vision but also her ability to inspire and educate, making significant contributions to both entertainment and dance education.

Ronald Duncan began dancing in first grade in Miami, FL, and trained at New World School of the Arts, where he was handpicked by Broadway and film veteran Debbie Allen to star in Pepito’s Story. He started teaching professionally in high school as the youngest resident director of Hip-Hop Kidz while continuing his studies at DePaul University. His training includes Thomas Armor Youth Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alvin Ailey, Ballet Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance, and Steps on Broadway.
During college, he earned a Joseph Jefferson Award nomination for Parade before joining the Goodman Theatre’s Purlie and later leaving a Chicago production of The King and I for Broadway’s Mamma Mia!. He went on to spend 17 years performing on Broadway, in film, and in regional productions, including Dreamgirls, Motown, Disney’s Aladdin, My Fair Lady, Hairspray, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, as well as television appearances in The Knick and Smash. He was also selected as one of 15 performers (out of 2000) for The Intern.
Alongside his performance career, Duncan taught Musical Theatre, Modern Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Contemporary Ballet, earning awards for East Coast dance schools before returning to complete his education. He is grateful to share his experience with The Tallahassee Ballet School.

We now offer a “Drop-In” style format to some of our summer classes (indicated above in blue)! For $28 per class, you now have the flexibility to fit Ballet into your schedule! Come when you can, skip when you need!
Drop-In Procedures:

New families/students will need to register in our Parent Portal! NO REGISTRATION FEE

Email classes@tallahasseeballet.org to request your Drop-In date(s) at least 4 hours prior to class to ensure class space is available and roll sheets are correct.

Your account will be automatically billed the $28/class Drop-In Fee once you are added to the class roll.

The method of payment on file must be up-to-date. Balances must be settled prior to attendance of class.
