AUDITIONS

The Tallahassee Ballet, the preeminent dance organization in North Florida, is a semi-professional, non-profit ballet company consisting of talented local dancers and those with professional experience. The Tallahassee Ballet performs classical, neoclassical, and contemporary ballets under the direction of Artistic Director Tyrone Brooks. Main stage productions are performed to live music at Opperman Music Hall and Ruby Diamond Concert Hall.

In-person Auditions:
Wednesday, March 2, 2022    Registration: 5:30 – NO FEE    Audition Class: 6:00-7:30pm
Saturday, March 5, 2022    Registration: 1:00 – NO FEE    Audition Class: 1:30-3:00pm
Wednesday, April 6, 2022    Registration: 5:30 – NO FEE    Audition Class: 6:00-7:30pm
Saturday, April 9, 2022    Registration: 1:00 – NO FEE    Audition Class: 1:30-3:00pm

What to Bring: Head Shot and Resume. Women, please bring pointe shoes for center work.
Attire: Female—Pink or flesh-tone tights and a solid color leotard with hair pulled back. Male—black tights and a solid color-fitted t-shirt.

Video Auditions:
The Tallahassee Ballet will be accepting video auditions for potential company contracts. Please include a headshot, dance shot, resume, and a three- to five-minute video of classwork and a performance excerpt. YOUTH COMPANY
Youth Company Auditions for the 2022-2023 Season are open to boys and girls ages 9 and older with intermediate ballet technique.

  • What to Bring: Headshot.

  • Attire: Female: Pink or flesh-toned tights, black leotard with hair pulled back into a bun.  Male: Black tights, white fitted t-shirt.
