YOUNG DANCER RESTROOM POLICY
-
Parents of children in our Creative Movement (Ages 3-4) ARE REQUIRED to remain in the lobby or waiting room while their child is in class.
-
It is strongly recommended that dancers in Primary Level A (ages 4-5) and Primary Level B (ages 5.5.-7) have a guardian in the building during their class.
TTBS POLICY: Please ensure that all young dancers utilize the restroom before every class. Instructors are not permitted to leave the students in the studio unattended in order to escort a young dancer to the restroom facilities or dressing room. In the event that a dancer under the age of 5 needs to use the restroom during the class time, the dancer will be escorted to their guardian by the Classroom Assistant (if there is no Classroom Assistant, the Instructor will pause the class in order to locate the guardian).
Should the Instructor or Classroom Assistant be unable to locate the guardian, the dancer will be escorted to the restroom by the Classroom Assistant, who is not permitted to assist the dancer in undressing, using the restroom, or re-dressing (assistance may only be provided while re-dressing if requested verbally by the dancer). If there is no Classroom Assistant, the Instructor will be required to cease the class in order to escort all dancers to the restroom. In order to avoid lengthy pauses or breaks for all students during classes, please prioritize your presence in our facility during these classes. Dancers in Primary Level B (ages 5.5-7) will be allowed to use the restroom alone if a guardian cannot be located.
If an Instructor or Assistant does not have your permission to assist your dancer in any way in the restroom, please provide The Tallahassee Ballet School with written notice following enrollment.
WITHDRAWAL AND SERVICE CHARGE POLICY:
All who register for classes acknowledge the following:
I understand that registration is for the full term (August-May) and that should I elect to withdraw myself or my child from classes at TTB, I am required to provide a written withdrawal notice to TTB administrative staff prior to the first of the following month (or more than seven (7) days prior to the first of the following month), in order to stop automatic tuition payments and officially withdraw from TTB classes. I understand that any fees (registration, tuition and costumes/showcase) posted to a Family Account with active enrollment(s) during the current month are non-refundable or transferable (except same-child transfer). Should withdrawal notice be received within the seven (7) days prior to the first of the following month, I understand that a $30 service charge will be incurred (e.g., to withdraw beginning on October 1 and to avoid the additional service charge, notice must be received by September 24). By providing my credit card, debit card, or banking information on the Monthly Auto Charge Authorization Form, I authorize TTB to charge any outstanding balance (including late fees) on my account for the last month of billing.

Helen Salter Scholarship
Application Deadline: June 15, 2025

The Helen Salter Scholarship, which offers tuition assistance for year-round programs at The Tallahassee Ballet School.

Established in 1972 by Helen Salter—a former Balanchine dancer and the founder of The Tallahassee Ballet—this scholarship honors her enduring legacy. Her vision and dedication have inspired generations of dancers, both those who have pursued professional careers and those who continue to champion the arts as patrons.
To be considered for the scholarship, students must complete a formal application process. This includes evaluations and comments from their primary dance instructor, along with a short personal essay. While financial need is considered, it is not a requirement for eligibility.
