COMMUNITY
The Tallahassee Ballet (TTB) has been part of the Tallahassee landscape since 1972. The original studios were housed on the lower level of the Northwood Mall, which was a thriving shopping center at the time. In the five decades since its inception, TTB has evolved alongside our city, becoming an integral part of Tallahassee culture.
We proudly operate on a mission of enriching our community through exposure to excellent dance, education, and community outreach.
TTB relies on and values the resources of the FSU College of Music, Florida State Opera, FSU School of Dance, FSU School of Theatre, and FAMU that contribute to our prosperity. Many of our soloists and corps de ballet company members are students at one of our local universities pursuing degrees in the schools of dance.
Giving back to our community is a critical part of our mission, and TTB has supported community outreach programs since their inception. Over the years, the programs have grown, expanded, and traveled to ensure that they continue to meet the community's needs.
community engagement
The Tallahassee Ballet’s fundraisers and community events provide unique opportunities for patrons and supporters to get involved and support TTB! These events and fundraisers help to get the word out and make the community enrichment programs possible. Please consider getting involved.
