FALL 2010 Semester Interns:


Erin Muire is our Senior Intern who started working for The Tallahassee Ballet Summer of 2009 as the Event Planner Intern. Erin is from Tallahassee, Florida and is currently a student at Florida State University pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Theatre and a Graduate Certificate in Event Management. She is the Marketing Coordinator for the student theatre group: La Cosa Nostra, has Stage Managed many FSU and STA plays, has received her Associate of Arts Degree from TCC and loves the arts of theatre, dance, films, vintage fashion and music.

Madeline Foderaro is our Artistic Staff intern. She began working for us this Fall 2010. Madeline is from Daytona Beach, Florida and just received her BAchelor's in Fine Arts degree from the University of South Florida. She is a Senior company members of The Tallahassee Ballet and is excited to be so involved with the arts in Tallahassee.

 


  Katy Cashin is our Board Liasion/Alumni Association Intern for Fall 2010. Katy practically grew up at The Tallahassee Ballet and has been either volunteering, dancing or interning since she was a young child.

 

 

 

 

Summer 2010 Semester Interns:

Catherine is from Miami Beach, Florida and is currently a student getting her Bachelor’s Degree in English with an emphasis in Business. She received her AA Degree from TCC. She has a love for the arts and would love to later work in a Museum.

Spring 2010 Semester Interns:

Chrissy Cooper was our Marketing Intern who started working for The Tallahassee Ballet Winter of 2010. Chrissy is from Michigan and is currently a student at Florida State University obtaining her master's degree in Integrated Marketing Communications. She received her BA degree from the University of Michigan and loves dance, music, and food.

 

Carolyn Englert was our Community Outreach Intern who started working for The Tallahassee Ballet this Summer 2009. Carolyn is from Winter Haven, Florida and is currently a student at Florida State University as an English Major and a Communication Minor. She graduated high school with honors, is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and she applied to the Advertising or Public Relations Departments in Spring 2010.

 Bethany Pichard was our graphic design intern this this Spring 2010 semester. Bethany is from Tallahassee, Florida and is currently a student at Tallahassee Community College. She graduated from Leon High School in 2009 and represented her school as the Best and Brightest Nominee in the Technology category for her web design work. Bethany is on the President's list at Tallahassee Community College and plans to get her AA degree before moving on to a university. She danced with The Tallahassee Ballet for seven years and is excited to be back to where she considers her home away from home as dance has always been one of her biggest passions.

 

Fall 2009 Semester Interns

Natalie Correa was our Marketing Intern who started working for The Tallahassee Ballet this Fall 2009. Natalie is from Miami, Florida and is currently a student at Florida State University as a Marketing Major with a Minor in Spanish. She has been the recipient of the Florida Medallion Bright Future Scholarship, is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and Golden Key National Honor Society and has made the Dean’s List 4 semesters in a row!

Alex Mackie was our Arts Administration Intern who started working for the Tallahassee Ballet this Fall 2009. Alex is from Stuart, Florida and is currently a student at Florida State University majoring in Arts Administration. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Florida State in 2008 and is now working as a graduate assistant in the Art Education department. Upon completing her Master's Degree in Spring 2010, Alex hopes to begin her career working in the exciting field of Arts Administration.

 Cassie McCoy was our Events & Membership Intern for the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 semesters. Cassie graduated from Florida State University in May 2009 and is now working in San Diego, California.

Internships Descriptions (not all internships are available each semester)

Marketing Intern
Job Description: The Tallahassee Ballet Marketing Intern works with TTB staff members to procure donations and sponsors for various events put on by The Ballet. The intern will gain professional experience in non-profit marketing. Applicants should be students in the marketing, advertising, public relations, journalism, or communication fields. This position is non-paid but we will work with you and the FSU Career Center or your academic department for you to obtain credit for the internship.  Please contact Angela@TallahasseeBallet.org for more information. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Soliciting donations from local businesses and identifying new prospects for donations to events held by The Tallahassee Ballet
Obtaining new sponsors and coordinating with existing sponsors for events put on by The Ballet
Providing stewardship to donors through thank you letters and recognition on the website and at events
Writing articles and marketing pieces about TTB-sponsored events to be placed in local newspapers
Assisting with e-newsletters and promotions
 
Events and Membership Intern
Job Description: The Tallahassee Ballet  Event Planning Intern assists in the planning and execution of fundraising events for The Ballet. He or she will gain professional experience in dealing with both internal and external parties in coordinating all aspects of the events.  Applicants should be students in communication, hospitality, or event planning fields. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Facilitating successful events by planning, organizing and promoting fundraisers, membership events, performances and board meetings
Communicating with individuals in the community through postings to Event Calendars, websites, magazines, newspapers and other promotional materials

Educational Outreach Intern
Job Description: The Tallahassee Ballet Educational Outreach Intern will be assisting with The Tallahassee Ballet’s outreach programs in local schools as well as support in the grant writing processes.  He or she will gain valuable experience in a professional environment. Duties include but are not limited to:
Communicating with and providing materials to schools and dance teachers for TTB’s Dance Chance program
Contacting local schools regarding opportunities for participation in visits to ballet rehearsals, performances, etc
Coordinating dancer and dance school communications
 
Graphic/Web Design Intern 
Job Description: The Tallahassee Ballet Graphic/Web Design Intern will be responsible for assisting with the technological needs of The Ballet.  The intern will gain professional experience in managing organizational websites and should be a student in the web design, graphic design, or marketing field.
