Why Support The Tallahassee Ballet?
The Tallahassee Ballet has been enhancing our city with ballet brilliance for almost 40 years. As we move toward becoming a professional company under the direction of our Artistic Director Rick McCullough, we will have eight paid company dancers. This season will also feature professional dancers Tyquan Barnard formally with Alvin Ailey and Ken Alan formerly from Broadway's A Chorus Line and Fosse.
Whether it's the professional training of our company dancers, teaching in local after-school programs, offering dance study for all ages in our new school, or presenting exciting performances, your support helps keep The Tallahassee Ballet on its toes as the most acclaimed dance organization in our area.
An Evening of Music and Dance is back this year at Opperman Music Hall with an exciting theme of Bach to Broadway that will delight people of all cultural tastes.
We invite you to join us as we return to the newly remodeled Ruby Diamond Auditorium for the holiday classic The Nutcracker and Dance for Spring's Cinderella. Be some of the first audiences in town to enjoy the new metropolitan feel with more comfortable seating, expanded lobby space, improved acoustics and more! The Tallahassee Ballet features the only live music accompaniment in the region for The Nutcracker. There are significant costs associated with running a quality ballet company including costumes, sets, musicians, studio space, and much more. We often concentrate on immediate financial needs, but it also important to look to the future. Please consider donating to The Tallahassee Ballet Endowment Fund, which will help ensure the Ballet flourishes for many generations to come. Ballet is also costly for the dancers.
